Compared with the first two sections, the third section places greater emphasis on <strong>residential use and family activities<\/strong>, functioning as an important space for <strong>daily life, entertaining guests, and internal family rituals<\/strong>.<br>This part of the mansion was also expanded and renovated by <strong>Lin Chao-tung<\/strong> during the Tongzhi to Guangxu periods, maintaining a consistent architectural style with the preceding sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Layout and Function:<\/strong> The third section, as the mansion\u2019s <strong>central courtyard<\/strong>, primarily supports <strong>family daily life and formal gatherings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Architectural Details:<\/strong> The eaves, wood carvings, window lattices, and stone decorations are all finely crafted, preserving a large number of <strong>traditional Chinese craftsmanship elements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spatial Design:<\/strong> The <strong>central axis<\/strong> is clearly defined, with side wings (h\u00f9l\u00f3ng) extending on both sides, creating a continuous courtyard with a strong sense of depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third section represents the <strong>core of household life<\/strong>.
